The Government of the Republic of South Korea has embarked on an ambitious hiring support initiative for universities around the Middle East by providing Korean university professors across numerous academic disciplines.
Hence, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Commercial Section, of the Embassy of the Republic of South Korea in Dubai, has invited Ajman University of Science and Technology besides other universities in the region to connect with the best and brightest diverse Korean faculty for future employment and to utilize their expertise in diverse disciplines, including Social Science, Humanities, Engineering & Information Technology, Medicine, Business & Finance, etc.
AUST was represented in the event, which took place in Seoul, by Mr. Walid Dafallah, Assistant Recruitment Manager, who gave a presentation introducing Ajman University and highlighting its main strengths as a would-be workplace of choice for South Korean academics.
KOTRA had scheduled candidates with different specializations interested in joining AUST. These applicants and other visitors who flocked to the AUST stand were interviewed on the spot.
And in a bid to broaden its faculty network and make sure that AUST is introduced to as many university professors in South Korea as possible, a meeting was pre-arranged with a national recruitment agency to have more insight into the nature of Korean employment policies. AUST received very useful information which will enhance its strategy to attract talented faculty members from South Korea.
