As the end of the academic year draws closer, the College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities (CIMCH) in Ajman University of Science and Technology organized a Fingertips Exhibition to showcase its students’ innovative projects. Attending the event’s opening ceremony were Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to the University President for External Relations & Cultural Affairs, Dr. Basheer Shehadah, Assistant to the University President for Follow-Up & Development, and Dr. Khaled Al Khaja, Dean of the College.
The exhibition provided a platform for students majoring in Radio & Television and Graphic Design to expose their projects in these fields. To begin with, the attendees toured the show to learn about the projects designed by young graphic designers, which varied from commercial to volunteer and service projects designs. Then, Radio & TV students also presented their projects which received the admiration of the audience for the original and innovative ideas they demonstrated.
The Arabic-language TV program “Shababiyat” is a flagship among these ideas. The show was presented and directed by Badr Dari; filmed by Ismail Dhebani, Mohamed Welio and Bashar Aboudi; montaged by Hudaifah Tawfik and Yazin Warraq; acted by Zakaria Mohammed, Ismail Samhan and Youssef Al-Shehhi; and supervised by Dr. Emad El Din Omar, faculty member in the College. The program raises certain social and public life issues that concern young people in a very smooth and catchy style.
At the end of the exhibition, the attendees were very happy with the creative level of all participations. The students, in turn, expressed their contentment at this event which provided them with a valuable opportunity to showcase and market their projects as well as exchange ideas and views on the exhibited student works.
