On the occasion of the World Autism Day, the Alumni Association at Ajman University of Science & Technology paid a visit to Dubai Autism Center.
The objective of the visit was to reach out to this category of special needs children. Autism is the most common of the pervasive developmental disorders, affecting an estimated 1 in 146 births.
Ms. Rana Kalam, the Alumni Officer, explained that, “this visit is part of our initiative to encourage graduates to actively participate in community service. AUST alumni association tries to provide such platforms which will instil awareness in the graduates about the main issues of our society”.
