AUST Elects New Alumni Council

The Alumni Council of Ajman University of Science and Technology held recently its first meeting for the academic year 2014- 2015 in Sheikh Zayed Centre for Conferences and Exhibitions. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Ahmad Ankit, Assistant to the President for External Relations, and was attended by Mrs. Rana Mohamed Kalam, in-charge of the Alumni Association, along with the new elected members of the Council: Anwar Mohammad Farajallah, Eng. Mohammad Balola, Hashim AL Obaidly, Abdelrahman  Al Hashemi, Rozan Attia Ismail, Soukaina Ben Bihi, Fatima Askar, Hamed AL Obaidy, Omar Ali Alameemi, Dr. Tasneem Duhairr, Amani Al Radi, Eng.Duaa Taha.

Dr. Ankit welcomed the new members and thanked them for their voluntary participation in the Alumni Council. He reiterated the attention paid by the University to the Alumni Association and its mission to the community. He also discussed the ideas and mechanisms that can be further developed or activated in coordination with the Alumni Council.

Dr. Ankit expressed his total support to the Alumni Council members in order to ensure that the council is able to carry out its mission successfully. He also pointed out to the importance of maintaining communication with all AUST graduates and updating them regularly on the University activities. He advised that the Alumni Council holds regular meetings on a more frequent basis.

The mission of the Council will be implemented in accordance with a strategic plan that comprises short, medium and long-term activities. The meeting concluded with the election of the president of the council Anwar Mohammad Farajallah and Eng. Mohammad Balola as Vice-President of the Council.
