Ajman University of Science & Technology participated in ADNOC Research & Development Academic Conference– ADRAC 2014. Held in Abu Dhabi, ADAC is leading conference in the field of research & academic papers related to Oil & Gas Industry. The Conference’s main aim was to understand the potential of contributing to the Oil & Gas industry through research.
Engineer Mohammed Osman Baloola, teaching assistant of Biomedical Engineering; along with Mohammad Al Najjar, biomedical engineering student participated in the conference and the sideline exhibition for innovative research projects. Eng. Baloola presented two projects; the first was an intelligent fog alarm system that uses social media networks. It utilizes the Twitter, Facebook and other platforms to inform drivers of fog situations. The motivation behind this project was to reduce the number of road accidents caused by fog.
The second project was the remote monitoring and controlling system for diabetic patients. Both projects received rave reviews about the innovative and interactive aspects they presented. About 1700 professionals and specialists from different scientific fields actively participated in the conference & exhibition. 200 research projects were presented during ADRAC 2014.
