H.H. Sheikh Rashid Al Nuaimi visits the infrastructural developments at AUST & Heads the Meeting of the University Board of Directors.

His Highness Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Head of Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, was all praises for the new developments added to the university facilities at Ajman University of Science & Technology. Whilst praising the efforts made to provide all the necessary educational and scientific means to benefit the academic experience of the students in higher education, His Highness stated that this tenure of their life determines the course of their future as contributors to building their nation.

H.H. asserted that the leadership in our beloved country stresses on the importance of preparing qualified and an educated future generation, in view of the recent developments taking place in the fields of learning which are devised to develop a sense of responsibility and awakening to the realization of the philosophy and strategies of education. In the Emirates of Ajman and UAE in general the vision of our leadership is being translated into aspirations and ambitions for the generations this will propel our country to reach the highest levels and be ranked among other leading countries.

He expressed his admiration for the achievements and teaching techniques adopted by Ajman University in the facilities and praised the contribution of the University to the society by providing appropriate educational environment for students in the Emirate and surrounding areas.

H.H also visited the new construction site for the new students’ residence project and praised the new facilities dedicated to enhancing the academic experience of the students by facilitating a comfortable and a comprehensive unique residence experience. The underlying emotional comforts provided are the favorable conditions that contribute to encouraging innovation, excellence and learning with confidence. Thereby, enabling the students to serve their community with their skills and abilities.

His Highness was accompanied during his tour of the library facilities and residence project with Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President of the University, Eng. Khalid Saeed Salman, member of the Board of Trustees of Ajman University and a number of officials from the university.

Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President explained in detail the two projects namely: Library and the Students Residence. He reiterated the reasons for the expansion and refurbishment of the library and their direct impact of the quality of the educational process and research for the students and staff. It also serves the Universities strategic goal of promoting scientific research through investment in resources to facilitate and support the efforts.

Osama Salman, elucidated that the new residence, which is ideally located close to the campus, meets the highest standards, AUST strives to ensure that excellence is always adhered to as a standard on campus. The bar is raised even higher when it comes to student residence and no efforts are spared to ensure that AUST female students are provided with comfortable and inspiring study and living environment.

He described “this home-on-campus building has an integrated, contemporary design that not only accommodates students but facilitates their social integration and academic fulfilment. The entire residence is a picture of comfort and care with privacy for the occupants in their self-contained units which exuberates a warm and pleasant feel.”

Stressing peace of mind for the guardians and parents was the pivotal motivation, hence a secure haven was designed to provide round-the-clock security and assistance along with all the related amenities

His Highness, began his visit to Ajman University by heading the meeting of the university board of directors in the presence of Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice President and members of the Council and discussed with them many of the internal affairs relating to the University, praising its leading role in translating the vision of the leadership and its strategies in guiding higher education institutions towards the development of services, excellence in its performance and strengthen higher education because of its importance in preparation of future generations, rehabilitating them to contribute in developing and building their homeland.<span >
