Fujairah Campus Organizes a Blood Donation Campaign

The Department of Student Affairs at Ajman University of Science and Technology - Fujairah Campus organized and in cooperation with Fujairah hospital a blood donation campaign. This campaign aims at providing blood for emergency injuries, surgical operations and patients with genetic blood diseases. The Department of Student affairs in Fujairah Campus organizes this annual campaign, to support voluntary blood donation in UAE. The campaign lasted over two full days one day for males and the other for female. The faculty, administrative staff and students from all colleges of the university effectively participated in the event.

Prof. Ali Abou-Elnour, the Fujairah Campus Director, stressed on the importance of these activities and their role to spread the culture of community service not only among members of the University, but also among the general public of Fujairah. Prof. Abou-Elnour also mentioned that the university is keen to activate cooperation with the Fujairah local community institutions and he appreciated the efforts made by Fujairah hospital together with the university to support and to deepen the concept of volunteerism among students.
