Ajman University’s Office of Sustainability organized three interactive workshops in collaboration with Ajman Youth Hub as part of the “UAE Summer” activities, aiming to raise youth awareness of sustainability and empower young people to contribute to building a more sustainable future.
The workshops included “From Idea to Impact: How Youth Build a Better Future,” delivered by Duaa Rafiq Al-Alimi, Sustainability Ambassador at Ajman University. The workshop focused on transforming young people’s passions and ideas into innovative and sustainable solutions to real-world challenges, while highlighting the importance of sustainability and social impact.
The initiative also featured “Living Sustainably, Building the Future,” delivered by Fatima Al Ali, Sustainability Officer at Ajman University, and Rami Alhadi, Administrative Sustainability Coordinator at the University. The workshop raised awareness of sustainable practices and explored practical ways to integrate them into daily life, contributing to a more sustainable future.
The workshops concluded with “Rooted in Community: Protecting Our Mangrove Guardian,” delivered by Maya Haddad, Senior Manager at the Office of Sustainability at Ajman University. The workshop highlighted the importance of mangrove ecosystems and their role in protecting the environment and strengthening coastal communities, while encouraging young participants to contribute to their conservation.
This participation reflects the Office of Sustainability’s commitment to promoting sustainability awareness among young people by providing practical knowledge and encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices that contribute to environmental protection and a more sustainable future.
