AUST Students Play Part in INJAZ-UAE Career Day Program

A group of 21 students from Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) took part in a hands-on Career Day Program organized by INJAZ-UAE in partnership with AUST Community Service and College of Business Administration.

During the one-day program, which aims to develop students’ practical background and introduce them to the professional world, the participants visited Aramex, the global logistics and transportation solutions provider, and Hilton Jumeirah Hotel.  They were welcomed by the heads of respective departments in both corporations and taken on a tour to get acquainted with the nature of work and experience the art of customer service and the spirit of teamwork exercised in a real-life career setting.

The students then kicked off their first career day at the various corporate sections to which they were assigned. Mentors from these sections trained them on the key personal skills needed to easily find their place on the contemporary job market, such as adaptation to working environment, stress management and good conduct in critical situations.

Noor Al Chaghouri, Community Service Supervisor at AUST, said the Career Day Program initiated by INJAZ-UAE provided a perfect opportunity for students to engage in the business community, develop entrepreneurship capabilities and expand their career potential.
