Ajman University Students Deliver 28 First Aid Kits and Emergency Training with Emirates Red Crescent

Ajman University's First Aid Club, under the Office of Student Life, partnered with Emirates Red Crescent to bring emergency preparedness education directly to the community — assembling and donating 28 first aid boxes while guiding attendees through the knowledge needed to use them. 

Led by Dr. Ala'a Mohammad Al Amiry, the initiative combined hands-on giving with practical instruction, equipping people not just with supplies, but with the confidence to act in an emergency. 

What Was Inside the Kits 

Each kit was built to support an effective response across a range of urgent situations, including wounds, burns, bleeding, fractures, and road accidents. The boxes contained: 

• Personal protective equipment 

• Wound care and antiseptic supplies 

• Medical instruments 

• Emergency response items such as elastic bandages, instant cold packs, eye pads, and emergency blankets 

From Classroom to Community 

During the workshop, students walked attendees through the purpose and use of each item, answered questions, and shared clear, practical guidance on staying calm and responding safely under pressure. 

The collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent reflected a shared commitment to humanitarian service and community wellbeing. For the student volunteers, the experience reinforced skills that go beyond the classroom — communication, teamwork, and the ability to translate medical knowledge into accessible, real-world guidance. 

More Than a Donation Drive 

The initiative demonstrated what student-led community engagement looks like in practice. It transformed preparedness into something tangible, turning education into direct, hands-on impact — and extending a culture of service beyond campus walls.
