Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST) will hold a conference on English teaching, in association with TESOL ARABIA. The theme of the conference will be "Celebrating Excellence in Teaching English", which makes of it a common focal point for all English users, including college members, curriculum and evaluation specialists, supervisors, and instructors at the public and private schools in the education regions.
The conference will be marked by the participation of a panel of Arab and foreign specialists belonging to different domains of English usage. Among the keynote speakers will be Dr. Jane Hoelker and Dr. Christine Coombe, two experts in the field of English teaching with a rich experience in the Gulf Region and Eastern Asia.
The conference will take place on Saturday, 14 February, 2009 at 08:30 a.m. in Sheikh Zayed Hall for Exhibitions and Conferences at Ajman University of Science and Technology, and will be accompanied by a Book Fair sponsored by international and local publishing houses on 14-15 February, 2009. All the participants and attendees will be awarded appreciation and participation certificates.
Commenting on this event, Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Vice President for External Relations and Cultural Affairs, said "the aim of this conference is to contribute to professional development and present the latest advancements in the methods of English teaching."
This event is the fruit of joint efforts of AUST and the Evaluation and Measurement Group of TESOL ARABIA.
