AUST at Project Management Institute (PMI)® Global Congress 2013 – North America

The Project Management Office at Ajman University of Science and Technology is participating in the (PMI)® Global Congress 2013 – North America taking place from 27-29 October 2013 in the United States. Numerous countries are also being represented at the Congress which will feature Project Management expert from around the world.

Engineer Mohammed Saeed Salman, Director of the Project Management Office explained that, “AUST participation is in accordance with the University’s keen interest in encouraging scientific research by supporting faculty and staff members in their endeavors”. He stressed that such involvement at an international level also assists the University in keeping abreast of the latest trends in the market and the project management field.

Ajman University’s representative at the Congress and business engagement manager at the PMO, Engineer Tarik Al Haraki, is there to partake in knowledge enhancing and sharing. He is joining thousands of professionals from across the globe in Project Management that will provide practical information to increase efficiency, productivity and profitability while tackling the challenges facing the project management profession.

Engineer Tarik will be presenting a paper on “Introducing PMO using change management model”, at this conference which streamlines and highlights the importance of dynamic people who represent a key factor for success in the future generations. It also focuses on the recipients of the PMO who can help in avoiding the blocks in PMO implementation. He would conduct an interesting and interactive session with the other participants, highlighting the importance of bringing the human factor to the forefront and ensuring its role is incorporated into the project management methodologies.

Commenting on the event, Eng.
