The College of Dentistry at Ajman University of Science and Technology received the initial accreditation for its Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Dip.DH) program. This follows the remarkable success of the College’s Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree program. This program is open to secondary school students who have score of 70% or above and Proficiency English Certificate (TOEFL/500, IELTS Academic/5 or equivalent). Applicants who are accepted will be required to spend two years and half during which they will assist dental surgeons in various specialties and provide patient education and awareness. Once graduated, dental hygienists can choose their career from a variety of choices: private dental offices, community clinics, hospitals, educational institutions, etc. In addition, they can work with orthodontists, periodontists and prosthodontists. It should be noted that the College of Dentistry offers free dental treatment services to its wide community. The teaching clinics operate 12 hours a day and are equipped with state-of-the-art equipments, modern facilities and high quality dental materials. All treatment services are provided under the strict supervision of experienced and highly qualified clinical instructors.
