Ajman University of Science and Technology, Fujairah campus participated in the 31st annual meeting of ARABMED Europe held in the Emirate of Fujairah. Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah and Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Sports and Cultural Club and Shaikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Chairman, Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Fujairah and Sheikh Hamad Bin Saleh Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Al-Sharq Health Care Administration and a number of senior officials, heads and directors of federal and local departments in Fujairah and a group of prominent Health Care Professionals and specialists in the United Arab Emirates along with Arab doctors in Europe under the supervision of the Al-Sharq Hospital in Fujairah.
Ajman University participated with a delegation comprised of Prof. Ali Ahmed Aboul Nour, Fujairah Campus Director and Prof. Sumia Sirelkhatim Mohamed, Deputy Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and Dr. Ali Abdul Wahab Al-Razzuqi, Deputy Dean of the College of Dentistry in addition to professors from both colleges and a group of students from different academic levels. The university was keen to invite last year's graduates to attend the conference as a part of its commitment towards continuous development of academic skills of graduated students and keeping them constantly updated on the latest research developments.
Ajman University had contributed with two oral presentations, the first one was on the development of a promising drug for the treatment of cancerous tumors diseases presented by Dr. Shehab Diab - Department of pharmacology and toxicology, Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Fujairah. The second presentation was on the implications of oral inflammation on the various body systems given by Dr. Sevan Priya - Department of pathology, College of Dentistry.
It is worth mentioning that Ajman University, represented by the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences-Fujairah campus has signed a training agreement with Al-Sharq hospital to train undergraduate students as a part of their clinical training plan.
