"Active Learning Strategies" Training Conducted by Fujairah Campus

Ajman University of Science and Technology, Fujairah Campus in collaboration with Fujairah Islamic Scientific Academy organized a training course in active learning Strategies. The aim of this course to promote this kind of learning between teachers and to indicate the importance of implementing it within existing curricula. It allows continuous interaction between students and teachers, especially with the present progress in educational tools like multimedia, Internet sites, and digital information and learning resources.

The training course was organized and delivered by Mr. Qusay Al-Momani, Faculty member and coordinator of the training center at Fujairah Campus. During the training session, Mr. Qusay gave a comprehensive overview of active learning strategies and highlighted its advantages and disadvantages. Mr. Obaid Al Yamahi, Director, Fujairah Islamic Scientific Academy stressed on the importance of these training courses to develop the skills of teachers to improve learning outcomes and to help students to enhance their performance. He added that this type of learning interacts and integrates with the presently implemented learning systems to have the best academic achievements. 

Prof. Ali Abou-Elnour, Director, Fujairah Campus mentioned that the organization of these training courses in cooperation with active educational institutions in Fujairah reflects the keenness of the university to help teachers to perform their mission through the schools of the future. It is based on modern technologies, but also on teachers who are equipped with the latest teaching methods and techniques. He also added that these training sessions also aims to achieve effective communication between students, teachers, researchers, family members, and all organizations of society that are active in educational process.
