Ajman University Strengthens Relationship with Ajman Educational Zone

In the framework to further, strengthen Ajman University of Science and Technology’s relationship with the government entities in the Emirates of Ajman Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Dean, College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities meet with His Excellency Ali Hassan Mohammed, Director Ajman Educational Zone.

HE Mohammad Hassan welcomed Dr. Khalid Al Khaja and stressed the keenness of the Educational zone on forging mutually beneficial cooperation with Ajman University in various fields. In addition to appreciating the efforts exerted by the Government of Ajman in ensuring the education is the cornerstone of its development. He pointed out that the number of students enrolled in Ajman in schools is 42,000 students in 40 public schools and 27 private schools.

Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, extended his gratitude to the Educational zone for hosting him and the delegates from Ajman University. He reiterated the wise decision of UAE government to merge the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, this will unify the efforts and will help all entities to serve the students at all levels of their educational tenure.

With regard to cooperating with the Educational Zone Dr. Khaja confirmed, that the university is working on a strategy to find out the needs of the labor market in the Emirate of Ajman in particular and UAE in general. There is a need for the presence of co - operation in this regard and cooperation in the field of scientific consultations in various fields.

He also pointed out that there must be key coordination in the field of scholarships for students and citizens, which will be beneficial for all concerned, and confirmed the existence of an integrated plan to in this regard. They also discussed other avenues of cooperation such as the Year of Reading, school competitions, events such as the hosting of school graduation ceremonies at Ajman University. Along with provision of media services such as photography, audio video, graphic designing and media training.
