The Career Counseling Center organized recently a training course for working graduates entitled “Job-centered Excellence and Innovation”.
The course, which took place in Sheikh Zayed Centre for Exhibitions & Conferences, was facilitated by Dr. Shaimae Salem, Associate Professor at the College of Mass Communication and Humanities & certified instructor from Egypt’s National Center for Leadership and Capacity Development.
The attendees were introduced to the concept of innovation, its types and applications and were briefed on how to design innovative services, existing best practices, and the stages every successful innovative project goes through.
For the second part of this one-day course, Dr. Shaimae addressed the concept of excellence, highlighting the inevitability and key features of Excellence Management, and the five keys for career excellence. She coached the attendees on techniques of self-development and self-stimulation and outlined the causes for career failure and outstanding employee standards.
The training was administered in the form short lectures, case studies, a brainstorming session and a practical workshop.
The trainees expressed their satisfaction with the course and extended their thanks to the Career Counseling Center for the efforts it makes to build strong links between the graduates and Ajman University.
