French Law Discussed at AU

The College of Law at Ajman University organized an insightful lecture entitled “Contract formation and effects under the new French law”. It was presented by Dr. Rose-Noëlle Schütz, faculty member and the Director of Master of Notarial law at the College of Law at the University of Poitiers (France), and Dr. Eric Savaux, faculty member and the Director of the Master of French and European contract law, he is also a senior researcher in private law at the College of Law - University of Poitiers (France). The Dean of the College of Law at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon accompanied them.

The lecture dealt with the recent reform of contract law in France. Lecturers highlighted the various modifications introduced into the French civil code of law, particularly the provisions related to the formation of the contract and its effects.

Dr. Lateefah Hameed Al Jumaili, the Dean of the College of Law at AU along with a large number of faculty members, law professors and law students attended the informative lecture.

An interesting round of questions and answers wherein various topics were discussed, followed the lecture. Dr. Lateefah Hameed, honored the lecturers and stressed the importance of holding such activities to achieve the strategic goal of the College and it’s vision to connect the theoretical side with the practical aspect.
