The Board of Trustees of Ajman University, headed by His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Board, and in the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, approved the university’s estimated budget for the academic year 2021/2022.

The council also approved the lists of graduates for the academic year 2019/2020, numbering 1,326 graduates, and the academic year 2020/2021, numbering 1,376 graduates, the modified organizational structure of the university, the revised policy and procedures manual, and many university regulations.

At the outset of the meeting, which was held at the Ruler’s Court, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi welcomed the members of the new council, wishing them success in achieving the university’s lofty mission to graduate generations and leaders at a high level of education aimed at building the nation and participating in the advancement and prosperity of the education process in addition to achieving More future achievements, especially in the field of academic education, and achieving what we aspire to.

His Highness said: “The great achievements this university has achieved call us to make this council effective with your support and constructive contribution and to move to a new era to develop its working methods in a way that increases its effectiveness and achieves the desired goals.” The Emirati human being and seeking to qualify him through the approved curricula and encourage them to innovate and be creative by providing scientific expertise to reach young men and girls to the highest degrees in various sciences and knowledge.

His Highness stressed that human development is one of the main concerns of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their brothers, Their Highnesses, the members of the Supreme Council and the rulers of the Emirates, pointing to their affirmation that education and investment in the youth of the nation and its successive generations are the focus of the sustainable development strategy, stressing his keenness to make this university responsive to those goals and ambitions.

His Highness, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, explained during the first session of the new council that the university’s march during the past decades of its life witnessed remarkable achievements that were accompanied by the comprehensive renaissance experienced by the UAE, and that higher education and investment in it and supporting young people and girls from among the sons of the country has become the focus of the sustainable development strategy and the best way to build society.

He called for the need to benefit from Arab and international experiences to support the university’s faculty and cooperate with other universities. His Highness valued the efforts of the previous Board of Trustees for their efforts to develop the university’s educational process and curricula in the past years.

The meeting was attended by members of the new Board of Trustees Abdullah Humaid Al Mazrouei, Abdullah Muhammad Al Muwaiji, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Council in Ajman, Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Care and Activities Sector at the Ministry of Education, and Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, CEO of the Easa Saleh Group Al Gurg and Dr. Amina Abdul Wahed Al Rostamani, Board Member and Director of the Abdul Wahed Al Rostamani Family Company, Dr. Dalia Al Muthanna, President and CEO of General Electric in the Gulf Region, and HE Rashid Abdul Rahman bin Jubran Al Suwaidi, Director General of Ajman Government Human Resources Department.

For his part, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi and the members of the Council valued the precious trust placed by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, for the Council to serve the university, the nation and its children and to complete the march of development and prosperity in the emirate, pointing to Ajman. And its institutions are continuing to push the academic development process forward by providing them with all capabilities to reach the highest ranks in all fields to achieve the aspirations and happiness of the people of the country and provide the best educational services to members of the community, citizens and residents.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi said that the formation of the new Board of Trustees represents a renewed vision to ensure the achievement of the goals set for each period of time in line with its requirements and challenges, praising the positions of His Highness, the Ruler of Ajman and His Highness, the Crown Prince of Ajman, in support of the march of this educational edifice, which has gained a distinguished and good scientific reputation. Contributed to the renaissance of higher education in the UAE in general and Ajman in particular.

He added: The directives of His Highness the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the beginning of the session will be appreciated and taken into consideration when developing the university’s strategic plans and programs.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi gave a presentation on what was achieved during the period between the last meeting of the Council and the current meeting, during which he indicated that the adoption of the annual budget for the academic year 2021-2022 aims to ensure full compliance with local and international accreditation standards and enhance the academic classification of the university.

He pointed out that the budget reflects growth in academic staff members by 10% in order to meet all academic accreditation standards and support scientific research activities, as well as provide all the needs of the new academic programs recently launched by the university, which include the College of Human Medicine, the Artificial Intelligence Program, the Data Analysis Program, and others. Programs and the budget aims to achieve a growth of more than 20% in grants, grants and foreign aid that the university seeks to provide in support of needy students.

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed that the university administration always seeks to update academic programs in various disciplines.

For his part, Dr. Karim Al-Saghir, President of the University, reviewed the scientific achievements and international accreditations achieved by the university in the past period and the plan for future programs that the university intends to offer in the short and medium-term, and that many of the programs offered by the university obtained international accreditations from reputable international institutions.
