Community Clean-Up Day

In February 2022, Ajman University took an environmentally conscious initiative by organizing a "Community Clean-Up Day." The event focused on desert cleaning, particularly vital during the winter when the desert is a preferred destination for many. In collaboration with Ajman Municipality, the university's volunteers joined hands to preserve the natural beauty and cleanliness of the desert. University volunteers participated enthusiastically in this initiative to combat desert pollution, educating themselves and raising awareness about responsible waste management.

This initiative strongly aligns with SDG #13 – Climate Action, which emphasizes taking immediate steps to address climate change and environmental degradation. Ajman University's active participation in desert clean-up exemplifies its commitment to climate action, highlighting the crucial need to safeguard our environment for a sustainable and healthy future. The university plays a vital role in fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and sustainability by involving students and community members in such initiatives.
