Smartboard Use in Teaching Science: Ajman University Researcher’s Paper Wins Accolades at International Conference in Istanbul

Dr. Najeh Salihi, Research Associate at Ajman University’s Non-Linear Dynamics Research Center (NDRC) recently presented a paper at the Third TFCR International Conference on Business Management, Language, Social Science and Humanities Research in Istanbul Turkey, and was felicitated with a certificate for his presentation. The conference was held from August 06-07, 2022 at Istanbul Gonen Hotel, Istanbul Turkey.

Dr. Najeh’s paper is focussed on the impact of Smartboard usage on students’ learning and achievements in Science.

Rapid changes in information and communication technologies (ICT) have had an impact on education as well as in all other areas of life and have brought about fundamental changes in traditional classroom environments and teaching methods. The study aimed to examine the impact of the use of the Smartboard (SB) in teaching science on students' achievement in science and their attitudes towards the use of the SB.

The results showed that the students of the experimental group who studied using the Smart board (SB) learning strategy were superior to the students of the control group who studied using traditional learning (traditional board) in the achievement test. The findings also revealed that attitudes of students were also more positive towards the use of (the SB) strategy.

Congratulations to Dr. Najeh for the impactful study and presentation at a key international conference.
