Mass Communication Students and Alumni Participate in the Arab Media Summit 2025

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the academic experience and connect students with the evolving professional landscape, the College of Mass Communication at Ajman University organized a field visit to the Arab Media Summit 2025, which took place in Dubai from May 26 to 28, with the participation of a group of students and alumni.

Organized by Dubai Press Club, the Arab Media Summit is one of the most prominent media platforms in the region. It brings together leading decision-makers, heads of media organizations, experts, intellectuals, and influencers to address key issues shaping Arab media and explore its future in the face of rapid digital transformation.

The College of Mass Communication's participation aligns with its commitment to providing students with real-world exposure and experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom. It enables them to stay abreast of the latest trends in the field, expand their professional networks, and engage directly with regional media leaders.

The students and alumni attended a series of interactive sessions and workshops that explored significant challenges and future directions in the Arab media landscape. Key topics included digital media, interactive content creation, artificial intelligence in journalism, media entrepreneurship, and the influence of media on public opinion.

Participants described the experience as a pivotal moment in their academic and professional journey, offering them the opportunity to engage with leading media institutions and gain insights from experts and practitioners from across the Arab world, broadening their intellectual and practical perspectives.

One participating student commented: "Attending the summit gave me a deeper understanding of the media’s role in driving change. It was a chance to see the professional world up close, beyond the classroom setting."

The visit was organized under the academic supervision of Dr. Dina Elkhattat, the College Internship and Alumni Coordinator, and Dr. Amal Badr, Associate Professor, with workshop coordination managed by Prof. Maha Abdel Mageed and Dr. Elkhattat, in collaboration with the Dubai Press Club.

The College of Mass Communication emphasized that this initiative is part of a broader strategy to empower students with hands-on skills in real-world professional environments, enhancing their employability and supporting Ajman University’s mission to graduate qualified professionals capable of contributing to the advancement of the media sector locally and regionally.
