Ajman University Innovation Center (AUIC) marked a strong presence at the Empowering Digital Societies Summit in Dubai under the theme: "AI & Innovation for Inclusive Digital Future", organized by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA). During the event, the winners of the UAE Hackathon 2025 Awards were announced, and four startups incubated at AUIC secured top positions—an achievement that reflects Ajman University's leadership in innovation and entrepreneurship.
Startup founder Kholoud Albloushi won first place in the Entrepreneurs Track for her project “Munther,” a cutting-edge drowning prevention system. The solution uses radar-based sensors to instantly detect human presence near swimming pools and send real-time alerts. It operates reliably in all weather and lighting conditions, maintains the aesthetic of the space, and enables multiple guardians to receive alerts simultaneously, making it a smart and safe solution.
Three other AUIC-incubated startups also earned top spots in the Pioneers Track:
Both "Spectrum" and "Thaiper" received dedicated mentorship and guidance from Eng. Wessam Shehieb, an instructor at the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Ajman University, which played a key role in transforming the projects from ideas into practical, scalable solutions.
This achievement reflects Ajman University’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem among its students and community by supporting creative ideas and transforming them into practical projects that address community needs and align with the nation’s vision for a sustainable, knowledge-based economy. It also highlights the pivotal role of the University’s Innovation Center as a key driver of technological excellence, by incubating and guiding entrepreneurial initiatives, and providing the academic and technical mentorship needed to bring ideas to life.
