Pathology Club Organizes Workshop at Al Hikmah Private School on World Sepsis Day

As part of the Office of Student Life efforts to promote community health awareness, the Male and Female Pathology Club organized a workshop at Al Hikmah Private School in Ajman, coinciding with World Sepsis Awareness Day. The workshop aimed to introduce students to sepsis and reinforce key concepts related to hygiene and health prevention.

The workshop included interactive segments designed for Grade 5 and 6 students, focusing on the risks of sepsis and the importance of proper wound care, handwashing, and disinfection to prevent health complications. Through simplified explanations, visual demonstrations, and interactive discussions, students learned how untreated infections can develop into sepsis and how simple hygiene practices help protect health.

To further reinforce learning in an engaging manner, students participated in a range of educational activities and games that strengthened their understanding of hand hygiene and its vital role in preventing infections. The event concluded with the distribution of educational gifts, serving as encouragement and a reminder of the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and healthy daily habits.

This initiative reflects the Pathology Club’s community role in promoting public health awareness and disseminating medical knowledge by engaging different groups beyond the university campus. It also highlights the role of the Office of Student Life in supporting awareness initiatives that enable students to apply their academic knowledge in service of the community and promote a culture of prevention and social responsibility.
