Ajman University Welcomes New Students, Reinforcing Its Commitment to a Comprehensive University Experience That Prepares Them for the Future

Ajman University hosted its Convocation Ceremony for the 2026–2027 academic year at the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences and Exhibitions, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the students’ academic journeys and welcoming them into a diverse university community of more than 8,500 students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Karim Seghir, Ajman University Chancellor, Cabinet members, college deans, faculty and administrative staff, as well as new students and their parents.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Karim Seghir welcomed the new students, emphasizing that joining the University marks the beginning of a journey that extends beyond academic achievement to encompass personal growth, the discovery of their potential, and the development of the skills and experiences needed to navigate a rapidly changing world and prepare confidently for their professional futures.

The ceremony reflects Ajman University’s student-centered approach, placing students at the heart of the university experience through an integrated educational environment that brings together academic excellence, career readiness, practical learning, student activities, research and innovation, and community engagement. This approach provides students with diverse opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

The program included a presentation on university life, followed by remarks from Dr. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, who highlighted the importance of making the most of the academic opportunities, activities, and services offered by the University, while actively engaging in campus life to develop students’ skills and enhance their readiness for the future and the job market.

A student leader also shared his university experience with the new students, highlighting the importance of taking initiative, engaging actively, building meaningful relationships, and making the most of the opportunities available to develop their skills, enrich their personal and professional growth, and complement their academic journey.

The program concluded with an orientation tour, providing students and their parents with an opportunity to engage with college representatives, learn more about academic programs, services, facilities, and available resources, and explore the opportunities available to support them throughout their university journey.
