In the presence of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, and Vice Chairman of Ajman University's Board of Trustees, Ajman University witnessed the signing of two agreements to amend and increase the allocations of the Mohammed Hussein Alshaali Endowment Scholarship Fund and the Fathy Afana Endowment Scholarship Fund. This step aims to strengthen the sustainability of both funds and increase the number of students benefiting from them.
This initiative aligns with Ajman University’s mission as a non-profit higher education institution that prioritizes access to quality education. It also supports the development of skilled professionals who drive knowledge-based growth. The two endowment funds are designed to empower outstanding students who cannot afford the cost of their studies, enabling them to continue their education with confidence, and fully pursue their academic journey, while preparing them to make meaningful contributions to their community.
The increased allocations to the two funds reflect the university’s commitment to developing its endowment programs as sustainable tools for supporting students, strengthening community partnerships in education, and reinforcing the role of non-profit educational institutions in nurturing talent and building human capital.
Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised the contributions of Mr. Mohammed Hussein Alshaali and Mr. Fathy Afana in strengthening the two endowment scholarship funds, saying:
“Supporting education is one of the highest forms of social responsibility, as it is an investment in human beings above all else. The endowment initiatives offered by generous donors open the doors of knowledge to diligent students, enabling them to continue their education and actively contribute to their community and country.”
H.H. added: “These initiatives reflect the approach of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, in empowering individuals and providing educational opportunities to the community’s youth, with the support of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Chairman of the Executive Council.”
H.H. concluded: “As a non-profit institution, Ajman University views education as a social responsibility founded on equal opportunity, aiming to prepare generations equipped with knowledge, expertise, and a strong sense of responsibility. Strengthening the endowment scholarship funds contributes to students’ academic stability, and opens broader horizons for them to serve their community.”
Ajman University continues to develop its endowment programs and community partnerships, expanding access to quality education for more students, supporting the training of qualified professionals who contribute to their communities and the nation, and reinforcing the role of education in empowering youth and building a knowledge-based society.
