Ajman University of Science and Technology signed a joint agreement with Cihan University in Iraq to consolidate bilateral academic cooperation.
The agreement is the expression of both universities’ will to develop mutual scientific relations and coordinate academic and research efforts between Arab universities. The agreement was signed by Mr. Thamer Saeed Salman, AUST Vice President and Dr. Nawzad Yahya Bajikr, the chairman of the board of trustees of Cihan University.
Among many other things, the agreement encourages exchanging visits and expertise between faculty as well as student exchange programs. The agreement also provides for organizing joint workshops and conferences and joint training programs in both campuses.
The agreement promotes coordination and provides for cooperation opportunities in graduate studies in the majors proposed by the two universities, as well as developing curricula, supervising master’s and PhD theses.
In addition provisions for special scholarships and assistance to training and field work programs were agreed upon by the two universities and included in the agreement.
