Ajman University Bolsters Ties with Community, Signs MOU with Beit Al Khair

Ajman University of Science & Technology has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Beit Al-Khair Society, Ajman. This MOU will help strengthen the involvement of Ajman University in the local community and promotes its philanthropic role.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Osama Salman, Vice-President of Ajman University and Mr. Abidin Taher Al-Awadhi, Director of Beit Al Khair. Attending from Ajman University were Dr. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to the President for External Relations, Dr. Basheer Shehadeh, Assistant to the President for Follow-up and Development, Dr. Zein Al-Abidin Rizk, Dean of the Institute of Energy, Water and Environment, Dr. Abdul-Haq Al-Nuaimi, Community Service Director, and Mr. Abdullah Salman, Manager of Thamer Fund for Academic Solidarity.

Attending from Beit Al Khair were Mr. Abdullah Ostad, Assistant Director and Mr. Ali Saleh, Vice Director of Public Relations and Events.

Through this MoU, Beit Al Khair will provide assistant to eligible UAE students enrolled in Ajman University. AUST on the other hand will encourage graduate students to volunteer with Beit Al Khair and will help provide training opportunities for students seeking volunteering and community service opportunities.

The two parties also agreed to promote bilateral action by organizing join workshops and facilitating communication channels between students and Beit Al Khair. By virtue of this memorandum of understanding, Ajman University offers a unique discount to Beit Al Khair’s aid-seekers, employees and their dependents, who wish to pursue their higher studies at Ajman University.
