Dental Career Day at Ajman University

Ajman University of Science & Technology hosted a Dental Career Day organized by the Career Counseling Center in cooperation with the College of Dentistry. The main aim was to give a platform to the Dental alumni and graduating students.

The audience were the Dental alumni and graduating students of Ajman University. This event aimed to help them get ready for their post-graduation journey, and show them how to get that job they deserve. One of the old dental alumni attended this event to share with audience his experience as a dental practitioner.

Prof. Ahmed Ankit, Assistant to President for External Relations, presented the University address, while Prof. Salem Abu Fanas, Dean, College of Dentistry welcomed the congregation and addressed them about the College.

In his speech, Dr. Kamis Gaballah talked about the fascinating topic of the surgical removal of the lower third molar tooth and how to pursue the post graduates studies for those interested. While, Dr. Emad El Subeihi, from the College of Dentistry gave a presentation on implantology in dental practice.

Towards the end of the conference, Prof. Ankit shared with the audience some practical tips on how to write a convincing CV and how to pass the job interview. Dr Mohammed bin Kasim from the College of Business Administration gave audience tips and rules of thumb on self-accounting and professional budget management.

A senior alumni Dr. Mohamed Akil, who graduated in 2007, shared with the audience his experience as a dental practitioner. He now owns and manages a private practice, Akil Clinic in Al-Ain.

 

Prof. Ankit stated that Ajman University really values its alumni, which currently exceed 29000, they encompass the values and ideology that the University stands for. In an honoring ceremony to commemorate the ending of a great Dental Career Day, Prof. Ahmed Ankit and Prof. Salem Abu Fanas honored the speakers and organizers for their dedication and hard work.
