Dubai Charity Association Contributes AED 382,600 to Thamer Salman Fund

Dubai Charity Association contributed a generous AED 382600 to Thamer Salman Fund for Educational Solidarity, which aims to assist students who face hurdles in completing their educational tenure at Ajman University.

Mr. Abdulla Saeed Salman, Manager, Thamer Salman Fund received the amount from Mr. Ahmad Mohammad Al Shamsi, Secretary General and Board Member for Dubai Charity Association also present were Mr. Osama Saeed Salman, Vice-President of AUST; Mr. Hassan Badr Al Madani, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Charity Association; Dr. Abdul Haq Al Nuaimi, Director of Community Services Department at AUST and Mrs. Leena Taifor, board member, Thamer Salman Fund.

As a sincere gesture of appreciation Ajman University of Science & Technology honored Dubai Charity Association for this noble contribution towards Educational Solidarity for which Thamer Salman Fund was established.  Mr. Osama praised the efforts exerted by Dubai Charity Association to serve the community and humanity at large.

Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Secretary General at DCA expressed his delight at being a part of Thamer Salman Fund, by doing our share to assist in achieving the noble goals of the Fund. He also thanked the management of AUST and the people responsible for making this initiative a success.

On his part Mr. Abdullah Saeed Salman, Manager, Thamer Salman Fund reiterated the spirit of establishing the Fund, “This fund is dedicated to the kind spirit and unrelenting efforts of Late Thamer Salman who strived to alleviate any hurdles faced by the students during their tenure at AUST”. The Fund has had an overwhelming private contribution from social personalities; these contributions are a noble gesture by the respected community on a personal scale.

Thamer Salman Scholarship Fund aims at assisting students by financing their education at Ajman University of Science and Technology. The main purpose of Thamer Fund is to provide financial aid to AUST students who are financially underprivileged and therefore are unable to pay their educational fees. The late Mr. Thamer Salman, may Allah bless his soul, came up with the idea of ‘Takaful’ years ago to help AUST students in need and promote the spirit of social solidarity.

Thamer Salman Fund eases the pressure on some AUST students will motivate them to work harder in order to achieve excellence throughout their academic life at the University.
