Scientific Trip for Dentistry Students

College of Dentistry, Fujairah Campus organized a scientific trip to the outstanding Liberty Dental Center, in Dubai. The trip aimed at enriching the graduating students’ experiences by giving them exposure to dental centers. The Dental Centre which are a live model of a successful and distinguished dental center has managed to combine the scientific and professional side of the Dentistry profession.

The fifth year students went to Liberty Dental Center in Dubai with the professor Dr. Ali Ghanem and they were accompanied by a delegation of professors from the Faculty of Dentistry from both Ajman and Fujairah campuses. Dr. Ali Al-Razzuqi, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry in Fujairah Campus, headed the delegation.

The delegation and students were received by Dr. Majd Naji, Director of the Liberty Center and his better half Dr. Dima. Dr. Majd. They gave a brief description of the Center's history and stages of development from its simple establishment to its high status and success. They also spoke about its various fields and different specialisations available and about the future plans of the Center. In addition to its second branch in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, they mentioned about expanding to other Arab countries. It was a great explanation and added a great deal of information and advice to our students who are at the verge of starting their own careers. The visit also included visiting the halls and the dental treatment rooms in the center including the specific  treatment rooms of some difficult or special cases. The students also received some valuable information about laboratory interferences and developments taking place in this field.

Coincidentally, the delegation and the students also met the visiting delegation of the Dubai Health Authority for inspection, which gave the students advice and guidance that will serve and benefit them in their professional lives. They were also briefed about the importance of sterilization and the best practice to prevent transmission of diseases, which the center of Liberty is a pioneer in.
