500 jobs up for grabs at AU Ajman Career Fair

Looking for a lucrative job, self-development, and career orientation? How to write a professional resume? What to do on the first 90 days after graduation?

Answers to these questions and many others can be found here at the 2nd edition of the Ajman Career Fair 2019 organized for the second year in a row at Ajman University.

H.E Dr. Sheikh Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman’s Ruler Court, on Wednesday morning inaugurated the much-awaited fair offering more than 500 jobs with 54 participant companies.

The milestone function, themed: ‘Breakthrough to successful career’, was held at the Sheikh Zayed Center for Conferences & Exhibitions in collaboration with the Central Department of Human Resources at the Government of Ajman.

Present were AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir, Ph.D., Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, the Dean of Student Affairs, and Mr. Rashid Abdulrahman Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Central Department of Human Resources (CDHR), Ajman.

Also present were senior officials and directors from Ajman University and various departments across the Emirate of Ajman, let alone crowds of students, graduates and job seekers.

Dr. Nuaimi was briefed on the services and job opportunities available with the 54 public and private companies taking part in the fair that has turned into a leading hub for jobseekers, be they Emiratis or residents.

“The growing number of participant companies reflects the big success of the Fair where jobseekers avail many services and job offers at one place,” he said, hailing AU and CDHR efforts to make the function an astounding success.

AU Chancellor Dr. Karim Seghir, Ph.D., said the Fair is in line with Ajman University strategic plan and commitment to the thorough development adopted by the country in all walks of life.

“All the partners involved are so keen to turn the Fair into a perfect platform for job seekers from all majors.”

Mr. Rashid Abdulrahman Al Suwaidi, Director General – CDHR, said the Fair is in support to the Ajman Vision 2021 which is aimed to develop the Emirate in all fields and build a good citizen.

“This is in pursuance of the insightful vision of H.H Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and the directives of Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council.”

The prudent leadership has long adopted several policies for developing and empowering national human resources, he underlined. “The Fair is part of our social responsibility to attract national cadres, identify and hone their skills, and offer them lucrative job opportunities.”

The Central Department of Human Resources spares no effort to adopt all the policies and strategies that help “secure good job opportunities for Emirati nationals”, and “develop their skills”, Dr Nuaimi underlined, hailing the tireless efforts of the organising committee and participant companies.

The event, meanwhile, saw several workshops on an array of issues, spanning self-development, career orientation, resume writing, leadership models, internet of things applications, and how to best use the first 90 days after graduation.

The Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation is a strategic partner of the Career Fair 2019, while the United Arab Bank is the silver sponsor of the event that kicked off from 9 am to 6 pm on 17 April.
