AU Students, Faculty Discuss Latest Pharmacy Innovations at ADFC

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Ajman University (AU) has actively contributed on the “Fourth Abu Dhabi Pharmacy Conference” held on April 25-26.

The Conference was hosted and organized by the Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi.

Prof. Nageeb Hasan, Dean of the College, five faculty members and 14 students presented their researches during the two-day event highlighted the latest pharmaceutical innovations.

Prof. Hasan chaired one of the conference main sessions that focused on the latest pharmaceutical innovations, while Dr. Nihal Ibrahim, Dr. Manal Buabeid and Dr. Zelal Jaber presented their professional posters.

Prof. Nageeb Hasan, Dr. Akram Ashames, Dr. Nihal Ibrahim, Dr. Richie Bahandare, Lecturer Yassin Al-Hariri, Lecturer Sundos Qassim, Teaching Assistant Sabrina Ait Gacem, Research Assistant Sham Zain Alabdin and Pharmacist Fatima Boura supervised different research activities through many students’ posters.

AU pharmacy students had a precious opportunity to discuss their ideas and scientific posters to participating competent scientists and industry experts from different pharmaceutical fields.

Prof. Nageeb said pharmacy students need to actively chip in such scientific conferences.

“These critical events not only broaden students’ horizon and knowledge, but also act as a platform for all delegates to make new connections, gain self-confidence, speak to experts and know their future employers.”
