Ajman University Academics, Graduate honored at 9th Sharjah International Government Communication Forum

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, and Tariq Saeed Allay Director, Sharjah Government Media Bureau, on March 05, 2020, honored Dr. Hossam Salama, Dean, College of Mass Communication, Ajman University (AU).

Dr. Salama, also a member of the Forum Academic Committee, was feted for the valuable workshop he presented on “False News Detection”, as part of the 9th International Government Communication Forum, Sharjah, March 4-5, 2020.

Dr. Imad Al-Din Omar, College Coordinator of Media Program, was recognized for his research paper on Governmental Communication Network in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Dr. Sherin Moussa, Assistant Professor, College of Mass Communication, AU, and member of the Forum academic committee, was acknowledged for the workshop she presented on “Innovation in Government Communication”.

AU graduate Sumaia Muhammad was honored for her graphic design project that was aimed to spread knowledge in an innovative way. Muhammad’s graduation project was supervised by Dr. Mervat Medhat.

Meanwhile, the 9th International Government Communication Forum saw the participation of 64 global thinkers and experts who debated on the rapidly changing global communication landscape, and outlined a way forward for more effective communication channels between governments and communities.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the region’s leading forum turned the spotlight on staying ahead of emerging technology disruptions and promoting stronger engagement amongst all stakeholders.
