The Wife of the Ruler of Ajman Attends the First Batch of Graduation 29, of AU Female Students
The wife of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, Sheikha Fatima bint Zayed bin Saqr Al Nahyan, President of Umm Al Moumineen Society, witnessed this morning the University of Ajman's graduation ceremony of 273 graduates, 223 of whom were in the bachelor's degree, and 50 in the graduate studies of the first batch of graduation 29 bearing the slogan ‘2020’, in a festive atmosphere, a spirit of happiness and a joy of success.
The keynote speaker, Here Excellency Dr. Rajaa Issa Saleh Al Gurg, delivered a speech on this occasion in which she congratulated His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, on the remarkable development achieved by Ajman University, and on the crucial role it plays by providing knowledge, using modern technologies and expanding in the distinguished academic programs that society needs. She also congratulated Sheikha Fatima bint Zayed bin Saqr Al Nahyan, the faculty, the attendees and graduates for the joy of graduation.
Dr. Rajaa said, ‘this year which has many great events and achievements for our beloved country, the United Arab Emirates, how fortunate you are to be part of this important stage, because 2020 is the year of ‘preparation for the fifty’, which will witness the launch of the largest national strategy of its kind, to prepare for the next fifty years at all levels of the federal and local state, in addition to preparing for the celebration of the golden jubilee 2021of the establishment of the UAE.’
Asma Al Shamsi, Director of the Sports Activity Unit at Ajman University, also delivered the speech of the university in which she gave a special thank you and gratitude to the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for her continuous support to the university and her constant care for science, knowledge and youth and the stimulation of positive spirit to them, and for the untiring efforts and unlimited support for the university. She also thanked the academic and administrative members for all the support, encouragement and motivation they provided to students throughout their educational career.
Asma pointed out that, in its continuous endeavor to keep pace with the ever-changing requirements of the labor market, Ajman University has launched a set of academic programs that include Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Facilities Management, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and two master's programs in Dentistry and Doctorate in Business Administration.
The graduate Maira Al-Mutawa delivered a speech on behalf of the female graduates and thanked Sheikha Fatima bint Zayed bin Saqr Al Nahyan for her gracious patronage of the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the graduation 29 of female graduates of Ajman University in 2020.
Maira thanked the professors of Ajman University for the knowledge they gave to students throughout the academic career, as they were a guiding light in the scientific and cognitive life. She also thanked and praised the parents and guardians who, without their sacrifices, would not have reached what they are today.
At the closing ceremony, Sheikha Fatima bint Zayed Al Nahyan presented the shields of Ajman University to His Excellency Noura bint Muhammad Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and Her Excellency Dr. Rajaa Issa Saleh in appreciation of their participation in the graduation ceremony of Ajman University students and their efforts in the service of the nation.
